MIXERS AND DRUMS

Continuous ploughshare mixers

CEMTEC's mixers are mainly used for mixing iron ore with additives like water, coke, bentonite, or limestone. A good homogenization of these materials is important for the agglomeration process that follows. The retention time needed for reaching the required mixing quality depends on the characteristics of the raw material and can be determined at our project plant. The variety of different sizes and designs is also tailored to industrial mineral applications. 

Mixing and granulating drums

Dewatered products such as filter cake from processing plants often have to be processed further by means of granulation. Granulating drums offer an inexpensive and easy way to combine the mixing and granulation processes in one machine. The ideal drum type, size, and design depend on the raw material characteristics and the required retention time. The necessary data can be determined at our pilot plant and laboratory.

PELLETIZING DISCS

CEMTEC's pelletizing discs are the equipment of choice when uniform pellet size and ease of control are important for converting fine ores into round spherical pellets up to 20 mm in diameter.

Pellet size, which is influenced by disc angle, disc speed, and location of solid and liquid feed, is controlled automatically, because CEMTEC's pelletizing discs can be used very flexibly. Laboratory and pilot tests determine the best flow sheets, equipment sizing, and scale-ups.

All inner disc bottoms are lined with “expanded metal” and the disc rims are lined with polyethylene plates to reduce abrasive wear. The base and scraper supports provide maximum stability while allowing disc angle adjustment without also having to adjust the scrapers.

Individually mounted, vane-type ploughs make it easy to control and distribute a product layer on the disc’s entire surface. The pivot base, a rotating part, is mounted on heavy-duty anti-friction bearings.
